Use as a UDP Server/Receiver For Tasker?

I am not greatly informed about all this stuff so pardon my newbie question.

I have a wifi meat thermometer that sends its current temperature reading via UDP. I want to capture and fire an alarm on my android phone if the temp exceeds a threshold I set.

I use Tasker for all sorts of things and would like to use it for this purpose. Is it possible to use this app?

No.  Send/Expect does not support UDP.
