Hello,

I am trying to connect USB Gps (BU-353s4).
I enable Developer options and at the 'Select mock location app' I set my UsbGps app.
When I enter in UsbGps app and click on Start/Stop GPS the app give this error "Cannot start: Mock locations disabled".
I am not sure if is a problem or I need to do something more.

Tested on:
rtandroid-n-20160830-rpi3 and rtandroid-7.0-20160829-rpi3
with different usb gps apps but none of this works.

Thanks!

Is the app open source? I need to know which condition fails in order to fix it.
You could try monitoring the Logcat output for errors.

and I am not the only one with this problem...

I read reviews from another app that I use (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.agbooth.usbgps) and have the same problem.

Thank very much for your help, now I am sure it's an application issue.

Hello,

Today i had the same problem with UsbGps app. I want to connect one bn-808 gps module to the rpi over USB. Unfortunately when i try to tap on the "Start/Stop" in this app, i got the "Cannot start: Mock locations disabled" message. In turn i allowed this app in the Developer options under the "Select mock location app" option.

It will be cool to solve this or just find a workaround how to use external GPS under RTandroid. So please if somebody has any suggestion let me know. :)

thanks and regards,
/istvan

emteria.OS now supports USB GPS out of the box.
