I have read the documentation and followed the steps here: https://developer.android.com/things/hardware/raspberrypi.html

I installed a vanilla (no alterations) version of the OIR1.170720.017 build

I used Etcher to write to a Samsung 32GB card

I also have a generic 7" HDMI capable display (designed to be used in a car as a backup monitor)

My Desktop is a Windows 10 Pro with RAM and Processor to spare.

When I plug in the Pi, I get a black screen on the HDMI display.

I tried several config changes including hdmi_safe=1 with no luck.

I figured that it could be a wonky display, (I bought it a couple of years ago) so I tried a different tactic.

I installed Vysor, and was able to get a huge and blurry image out of the Pi.

Q: Is there a display that is known to work with the Raspberry Pi 3 running Android Things?

Ideally I would like to only need to plug in the HDMI cable.  No hat, unless I absolutely need it.   I do not need a touch screen, but if I can get it without a hat and at a good price why not.
I just need to see that the OS is up and running correctly before I begin with the other tutorials deploying my first app to it.

If anyone has any ideas or has a display working with Android Things please let me know what model so I can buy it.

Q: Does anyone know of any Vysor like software solutions?  Vysor shows promise, but I was unable to tweak the resultant image due to the free version.

As Always any help is greatly appreciated,

Andrew
