Anyone have a working config for this build with the official 7" touchscreen?  I can get it to boot, but the resolution is incorrect and I can't get it to use the hdmi_cvt modeline.  Trying the video.sh tool that ships with RTAndroid results in a black screen (the backlight is on).

I've got this up and running on my Pi3 CanaKit.  I'm trying to run one of our own apks (side loaded with FTV), but not getting a screen.  The app must be running, because I can still see and close the title bar, but no graphics or sound.  Hints?

Tried booting it up on a raspberry pi 2, but it is stuck at the boot animation.
I unarchived the file, and copied the .img file to the sd card (16 gigs) with dd (exact command: sudo dd if=FILE.img, of=/dev/sdc).

Am i missing something?

I have a raspberry pi 3. I got it working 100% except that rendering is slow, there's a red flashing border sometimes and gapps don't work (I installed them manually, they sort of work but get stuck at loading (i have internet and webview test works 100%))

My RPi3 can boot up, but it cannot connect to WiFi, just because there's no "confirmation/okay" buttons in the view where I enter the user name/password for the selected WiFi.

Has anyone meet this issue?

It boots fine, but it doesn't automatically connect to the WiFi. It remembers the WiFi from last time, but doesn't connect unless I manually connect it. Any suggestions on how to make it connect automatically?

I seems to boot fine on an RPI3 but the RPI2 I get a green-led flash and a black screen then nothing
[using an HDMI TV if it matters]. Is there some kind of trick on the RPI2?.
I changed the .dtb line to be 2709/2 but that didnt seem to make any difference?.
Does this have a serial port enabled?, if not can it be enabled with a
cmdline?.
I want to use the RPi2 for testing only not too worried about performance.

Thanks.

Hey all,

tried this today with a rpi-cm3 and does not got it to work.
i did exactly the same setup as on my rpi3 board. expect of the sdcard->emmc change.
at boot, the red led lights up, the green led flashed rarely then nothing more.
anything i can provide you with?

Got that fixed for myself. The ramdisk.img was missing on boot partition.

Now the screen get stuck while showing android boot animation.
I already copied bcm2710-rpi-cm3.dtb to boot and linked in config.txt as device_tree file.

Would be good to get some logcat but adbd seems not to be started.
The green LED shows some heavy io load for the first minute or so...

Anything else i can do?

How to root this Android?
I use: and7_1-tablet-23012017.img.

When I manually execute the following commands via ADB, the system does not start after reboot.

adb shell "mount -o rw,remount /system"

adb push common
/Superuser.apk /system/app/SuperSU/SuperSU.apk
adb shell chmod
0644 /system/app/SuperSU/SuperSU.apk
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:system_file:s0 /system/app/SuperSU/SuperSU.apk

adb push common
/install-recovery.sh /system/etc/install-recovery.sh
adb shell chmod
0755 /system/etc/install-recovery.sh
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:toolbox_exec:s0 /system/etc/install-recovery.sh

adb push armv7
/su /system/xbin/daemonsu
adb shell chmod
0755 /system/xbin/daemonsu
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:system_file:s0 /system/xbin/daemonsu

adb push armv7
/su /system/xbin/sugote
adb shell chmod
0755 /system/xbin/sugote
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:zygote_exec:s0 /system/xbin/sugote

adb push armv7
/supolicy /system/xbin/supolicy
adb shell chmod
0755 /system/xbin/supolicy
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:system_file:s0 /system/xbin/supolicy

adb push armv7
/libsupol.so /system/lib/libsupol.so
adb shell chmod
0755 /system/lib/libsupol.so
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:system_file:s0 /system/lib/libsupol.so

adb shell touch
/system/etc/.installed_su_daemon
adb shell chmod
0644 /system/etc/.installed_su_daemon
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:system_file:s0 /system/etc/.installed_su_daemon

adb shell cp
/system/bin/sh /system/xbin/sugote-mksh
adb shell chmod
0755 /system/xbin/sugote-mksh
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:system_file:s0 /system/xbin/sugote-mksh

adb shell cp
/system/bin/app_process32 /system/bin/app_process32_original
adb shell chmod
0755 /system/bin/app_process32_original
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:zygote_exec:s0 /system/bin/app_process32_original

adb shell mv
/system/bin/app_process /system/bin/app_process_original
adb shell chmod
0755 /system/bin/app_process_original
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:zygote_exec:s0 /system/bin/app_process_original

adb shell mv
/system/bin/app_process32 /system/bin/app_process_init
adb shell chmod
0755 /system/bin/app_process_init
adb shell chcon u
:object_r:system_file:s0 /system/bin/app_process_init

adb shell ln
-s /system/xbin/daemonsu /system/bin/app_process
adb shell ln
-s /system/xbin/daemonsu /system/bin/app_process32

adb shell ln
-s /system/etc/install-recovery.sh /system/bin/install-recovery.sh

Stuck on the screen with animation "android."
When I restore the /system/app_process file to the original version, the system starts (but with no root).
I tried SuperSU 2.76, 2.78, 2.79 and 2.82. Unfortunately, I have always had the same effect.
I also tried Android Marshmallow (andrpi3-20160626.img) but it also ended with a bootloop.
When I manually run su daemon through ADB, root is working fine, but it is not permanent (after reboot there is no root).

What to do to make the system run with root?

Hi Sahaj, this Android works well on Raspberry PI3? I ask because I need to run an application to see an HMI and get some results.
I am a raspberry noob, but I am really motivated to learn.

thanks for all
