Not able to read the WPA2_PSK protocol on android devices although the access point(router) supports WPA2_PSK protocol

When trying to read the configuration of a connected wifi network, the value for WifiConfiguration.KeyMgmt obtained is always  KeyMgmt: WPA_PSK,  although the access point(router) supports WPA2_PSK protocol.
