Get the current version of android qt project

Hello people.

The question is simple, is there any way to get the current version of Qt Necessitas  project ? 

I tried with QApplication :: ApplicationVersion (), but without success. 

I need the current version installed on the device, and compare it with the newer version and make the decision to update the application or not.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

 I've got some information missing that i need,  I don't found a way to get the android version like "Android-8" and build version string too.

I also encountered the same problem, can only create the file is written to the version number, there are better ways to obtain the version number in the xml thing?

I would also like to be able to read the version name, but (as you said) QApplication::ApplicationVersion() does not work.  

Is there some way to read the AndroidManifest.xml file during compilation to read the version name that is in there?  Or could we use the *.pro file to change the version name in the AndroidManifest.xml?  Or, when the Projects->Run->Package configurations->Version name is set, could that be used to define the application version in the *.pro file?
