Hi all,

Today I tried to download libs to an application using Necessitas 0.21
. All I get is an error and my program aborts. I sniffed the
connection and figured out that Ministro is not finding the proper XML
to download. To be more clear, it should download
http://ministro.licentia.eu/ministro/stable/android/armeabi/android-10/versions.xml
but it gives "Not Found" I tried to navigate this address and found
out that the root folder "ministro" does not exists - but there is a
sub-folder named "ministro" inside a "necessitas" folder. Maybe
someone has moved it. Can someone please correct the download link ?

The servers are administered by kde sysadmins, so, I can't help you on this matter.

Cheers,
BogDan.

Hi,

We were able to convert our application to Necessitas 0.3 in March, but unfortunately not all customers have yet been able to upgrade our server-side services. For these users, they still need to use Ministro 1. This, however, is now unavailable again, as e.g. http://ministro.licentia.eu/ministro/stable/android/armeabi/android-10/versions.xml gives 404 Not found error.

I know everyone should use Ministro 2, and we urge our customers to upgrade their servers-side software as fast as possible. On behalf of some end-users, we kindly ask if it's possible to reopen the Ministro 1 services for another 1-2 months, enabling users to still use their application until their servers are upgraded.

Thanks alot :)

Yesterday, I read some news about Qt in Android (official). I missed that link. Is there any news like such.

Thanks

Dear BogDan:

We've detected troubles again with Ministro I 2.0 when trying to download required libraries. Sorry for still being using this. We expect to resolve migration in two weeks.

Best regards.

Hi BogDan ,

I'm looking for your fix on the git repository on KDE and i didn't found it. Have you already commited this update?
I got the ministro source and made some changes to use on my project, so i've got the same problem, i made in my project a way to solve this, but i want to see your solution to make my changes smaller.
Is There another repository that you uses(instead of kde)?

Thanks for your attention,
Nilson Aguiar

Hi,

I forgot to push the changes, check
http://commits.kde.org/ministro/ba5147dffe705a59617ca24de9d65441f96d4ab9

BogDan.

P.S. Please don't forget that Ministro is licensed under GPLv3, so
we'll wait your sources as well.

Hi,

I got your commit, and made the changes in the code of my project.

In my project it's possible to change the repository through the Ministro Configuration Tool. If you want me to push these changes, tell me how to do it and i will be pleased to do

Hi,

I thought about that possibility myself, but I want to make it
better and more flexible :).
In further versions I'm going to add the possibility to specify how
many repositories you want [2]. The beauty of the approach is that you
can mix different repositories. Let's say you have a some big libs
which you want to share them in a few apps, but your apps still need
qt to run, in this case you'll build only these libs instead to build
everything. You can also "overwrite" some libs, if you want to provide
a custom QtSQL for your apps, but you still need QtCore, QtNetwork,
etc. you'll only need to recompile the QtSQL library, of course the
other apps which doesn't specify your repository will continue to use
Necessitas QtSQL.

Anyway this is the plan, but it will take a while until will become
reality :)So, if you (or anybody else) want to join, you are more then
welcome !

Cheers,
BogDan.
