Hi,

Just installed the sdk (believe this is alpha 4.1 currently available for download) and QtCreator wont start complaining that it cant write files to c:\users\myname\AppData\Roaming\Nokia\qtcreator\. I get a sequence of dialogs for a bunch of xml files. A bit baffled, never had this problem before.

Any help appreciated.

Hey I'm really stuck on this. Uninstalled, cleaned, reinstalled a few times now with same results.

Interestingly, QtCreator creates lots of files in the .../AppData/Nokia/qtcreator/ directory, e.g. instead of saving devices.xml it saves device.xml.<some-random-hash>. The files in question are:

default.qws
devices.xml
profiles.xml
qtversion.xml
toolchains.xml

The installer is windows-online-necessitas-alpha4.1-sdk-installer.exe and the repository seems locked to http://files.kde.org/necessitas/sdk_alpha4/

Help?

Hey,

This sounds like a really weird problem that I've not seen before. Did
you try deleting the Nokia folder before re-installing everything?

Before deleting, does Unlocker ( http://www.emptyloop.com/unlocker/ )
report anything weird with this folder or any files in it? Have you
got any other (old-ish) Qt Creator running at the same time?

Hi,

Thanks for replying. Weird indeed.

I've tried deleting the Nokia folder and also setting permissions to Full Control for myself.

I actually got it to work by using "Run as administrator". I've never used this toy (atom netbook / windows starter 32bit) before for necessitas, although have been using Qt SDK without problems.

To answer your questions directly, I do have old-ish Qt SDK installed, but not running. I haven't tried unlocker, if I get a chance, I'll let you know what it says,

Thanks
