Hello Everyone,

I saw the livedroid image for x86 machine at
http://groups.google.com/group/livedroid
Has anyone tried running android on intel atom based boards like this one.
http://www.intel.com/Products/Desktop/Motherboards/D945GCLF/D945GCLF-overview.htm
I am very interested in trying out porting to this hardware.
I just don't want to redo the work if anyone has done it.I would like to contribute to this kind of efforts.

If you are looking for SDK, then you are in wrong place. Go to andriod.com to get 1.5r3 SDK

I'm not looking for the SDK. What I would like to do is to install
Android 1.5 r3 into my eeepc, I am not able to do it with the .iso
provided on the above link.

I downloaded eeepc-v0.9.iso, when I choose to install it return a
message saying that installation is not yet available.

The installation does not work yet. If you want to install, check the wiki page http://code.google.com/p/android-x86/wiki/GetSourceCode. It tells how to install it on the hard drive manually.

Thank you Yi Sun for your reply.

I've downloaded the source code and realise that I can create an
installation image for USB (like it used to be) but it wouldn't
install properly. Another question is, the downloaded source code is
for the latest Android (Donut) but I would like to get Android 1.5 rc3
instead of the latest Android (Donut), is there a way to get this?

The old usb install image does not work anymore. Please follow the instruction in the wiki page to install it on your harddrive. The reason that we are doing things different is becasue the new way will be faster. Otherwise, you may spend a few hours to install android on a machine like 1000HD.
For the cupcake, you can use 0.9. See the 0.9 release note for the detail about how to check it out and build it.

Installed 0.9 successfully to my eeepc, however I am having problem in
mounting usb drive, it doesn't seems to be automounted and when I
tried to mount it manually I received:

# mount -t ext3 /dev/sdb1 tmp
ioctl LOOP_SET_FD failed: Bad file number
