Hi all, I'm porting the android AOSP(master branch) to my board.

My problem is : If I played any video, the system break down and
reboot ...

The "E/PV" error message was from OpenCore code.

I didn't change any code about MediaPlayer and OpenCore. - -#

Kernel must be OK, I can play video on V1.6(donut) ROM use the same
kernel.

The following is the debug log :

////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I get also this issue with Android Eclair Master AOSP (with opencore
2.07) when I try to run video mpeg4.
It is a big issue with Android Eclair: not able to plays video...

It's not understandable that nobody has succeeded to solve this issue
and does not give his solution in this group.

I hope there'll be a solution soon.

Well, we are also unable to play video on Android-x86.
I don't know it is a common problem for all Android targets. Is it?

Anyway, we already have a temporary solution.
Will publish it soon when we refine it.

Hi Chih-Wei :

I had apply the code, and I can play video now, thank you!

In addition, the solution is the commit "make camera preview ok and
make the codes better" by Wallace Wang.

hello,

are you only change frameworks/base/libs/surfaceflinger/
LayerBuffer.cpp file.
i applay you code. but still can't play video.
after
E/gralloct( 1040): [unregister] e handle 0x34c7c0 still locked
(state=40000001)
E/gralloc( 1040): invalid gralloc handle (at 0x0)
then all service died.

send question to android-x86 discussion group for quicker answers, I'm
not sure if the patch authors (Swan or Wallace) are on this list or
not.

Hi..

Thanks for the information...

We saw the differences between our source and the source submitted
into GIT..
The files are /platform/base/libs/Surfaceflinger/LayerBuffer.cpp
/platform/base/opengl/include/EGL/eglext.h
After comparing with our existing source of Eclair 2.0.1 we found
that the changes are very minor..
Do u really think that the system reboot issue at the time of video
playback will be resolved with these two changes???

Looking for Quick response.

Regards
Uday

Hello,
now i can play video on eclair.
except are you only change frameworks/base/libs/surfaceflinger/
LayerBuffer.cpp
I ignore the change on frameworks/base/opengl/include/EGL/eglext.h.
thanks.

I don't know. I can just say it works on x86 platform.
And we don't have 2.0.1 code -- Google has not released it yet.

Just try it. I think it won't hurt you.
