Hi,

Can someone point out what the differences between using TARGET_BUILD_TYPE=debug vs release in an AOSP build?
I fail to see much distinction between the options.

Thanks,
Matt

i found in release mode , compilation puts more strict check as compared to debug.
Also i feel release mode libraries (.so) files may not have sufficient information to decode address.

As far as i know , the only difference between the 2 is that debug version adds Log statements to various classes of android OS.
