bash: lunch: command not found

Hi,

I noticed that this question has been asked before but hasn't been
answered to my needs.
You see I get this error "bash: lunch: command not found" whenever I
try to run lunch. The
solution on every forum is to run ./build/envsetup.sh WITH the leading
dot but in my case
I already did that and that works fine (I get a message including
vendor/aosp/vendorsetup.sh)
but lunch still doesn't work.

you need to put a . followed by a space with path to envsetup.sh. dont forget the space between . and /

. /build/envsetup.sh

putting source in front of . /build/envsetup.sh worked although I don't know why

envsetup.sh needs to be executed in the current shell, and calling ./build/envsetup.sh causes it to be run in a sub-shell.

Your options are then to run either ". ./build/envsetup.sh" or "source ./build/envsetup.sh".
