Hello, I work on Android HAL.
I am searching for a good IDE for browsing source code.
When I try using Qt, Vscode, etc it takes lot of time to parse and sync. Most of the time it hungs up.

Can anyone suggest me the what would be the ideal IDE for browsing Android source repo ?

Thanks.

Regards,
Shakthi

Have you tried Android Studio? https://stackoverflow.com/questions/16727607/can-we-use-android-studio-for-aosp-development tells how to pull in all the sources from AOSP into Android studio.

Thanks, Karthik.

Thanks for the response Karthik. Android studio ui doesn't supports fonts or themes like Qt or Gvim or eclipse. Please let me know if there's way to customize Editor font settings.

Thanks again.

Android Studio is based on IntelliJ IDE. So https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/configuring-colors-and-fonts.html details how to customize fonts and colors. If you look for IntelliJ font settings, you can find other helpful docs as well.

Thanks, Karthik.

I'm using QtCreator too and am quite happy with it. I use a small script that greps all sources and include directories to create a generic project to allow QtCreator resolve all symbols and includes.
