Android has 7 desktops and i'm tired to pass from one to another to
see the desired, .

Why not organize them differently? Like the numpad in a keyboard:

1-2-3
4-5-6
7-8-9

So we'll have 9 desktops and only need 2 steps to anyone, moving
right>left, left>right, up>down, down>up or the four diagonals (up
right>down left, down left>up right, up left>down right, down right>up
left).

good idea.  It will be efficient.

I've seen one problem: some widgets use the vertical move to
interact. :-(

Neat, although as David pointed out, it does break some widgets that use vertical scrolling.

Any ideas on how to make that work?

I suppose you could check to see if the event reached the desktop by only consuming it if you use it, but that would trap people on desktops with "full screen" widgets with vertical scroll, requiring them to hscroll first :/

How about if user uses only one finger, he or she may only slide left and right. But if two fingers are used then "numpad" navigation takes effect.

I think it better to use only one finger, in order to handle with one
hand.

Maybe, as John suggests, touching out of the widget, i don't know if
any widget uses the full screen.

Screen previews in the pull down menu to select homescreen.

I'd argue that the benefits to the OS outweigh the negatives of a single or even a few widgets.

Vertically scrolling widgets are increasingly extensively used.

And this discussion really doesn't belong on android-platform.  The home screen is just an app.  There are tons and tons of alternative home screen replacement apps on Market.  Probably even one that does what you are describing.  Or go and write your own app that does what you want.  This has nothing to do with the platform itself.

Well, if google could sponsor a hackathon, we've already somewhat organized here, we could make this the new UI for ICS.

Go, patent it !!

To be completely frank, we are not at this point interested in such a thing for the "new UI for ICS," so are certainly not going to pay you to implement it. :}

The folks asking for a sponsorship for a "hackathon".
Wait a bit and I'll be releasing some source code and whatnot.
