Hello,

I created an apn with type "hipri" and I would like to setup a data connection with this apn.

However, even if it is the only one defined in the system, data connection does not start, since Android is looking for an apn with type "default":

D/DCT     ( 2317): [0]isEmergency: result=false
D/DCT     ( 2317): [0]buildWaitingApns: E requestedApnType=default
D/DCT     ( 2317): [0]buildWaitingApns: usePreferred=true canSetPreferApn=true mPreferredApn=null operator=22210 radioTech=9 IccRecords r=SimRecords: mDestroyed=false mContext=com.android.phone0
D/DCT     ( 2317): [0]buildWaitingApns: mAllApnSettings=[[ApnSettingV3] voda mobile, 24, 22210, mobile.vodafone.it, , , , , , -1, hipri, IP, IP, true, 0, 0, false, 0, 0, 0, 0, , ]
D/DCT     ( 2317): [0]buildWaitingApns: apn=[ApnSettingV3] voda mobile, 24, 22210, mobile.vodafone.it, , , , , , -1, hipri, IP, IP, true, 0, 0, false, 0, 0, 0, 0, ,
D/DCT     ( 2317): [0]buildWaitingApns: couldn't handle requesedApnType=default
D/DCT     ( 2317): [0]buildWaitingApns: X apnList=[]
D/DCT     ( 2317): [0]notifyNoData: type=default
D/DCT     ( 2317): [0]trySetupData: X No APN found retValue=false

Is there a way to change the requested apn type in order to have it different than default?

For "a way" I mean also changing AOSP framework source code, since I'm able to build the whole platform.

Thanks in advance,
Daniele
