Recommended Partition Sizes

Are there recommendations on how large to size the system, cache, and/
or data partition in Android to allow for a reasonable (1.5 to 2
years) of future upgradeability. Perhaps someone can share the
results on an "adb shell df" following a first boot of a Nexus One
which would at least show an "unofficial" recommendation assuming a
512MB NAND part.
