I have a serial console connecting to my device. In the shell, I often
launch logcat to debug. But once it starts, I have no way to stop it.
I have tried ctrl+c, ctrl+z, etc, nothing is working.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Couple of other tips:
  1. The following will print out the logcat buffer and exit:
        $ logcat -d
  2. And even more useful adding the following to the kernel boot line will restore job control (ctrl-c, etc.) on the serial console:
        androidboot.console=ttyS1
      (make it match the "console=" parameter)

Enjoy,
Andrew

Hi, Andrew ~
I've tried your tip No.2 , but then it becomes showing all those
serial logs on the device's screen instead of UART-> terminal
software ...
and i can't type commands in terminal software anymore ...

is that what you meant to be ?

thx anyway for tip No.1 :D

No, your console should behave as it did before except ctrl-c should work. Does the value you pass as androidboot.console match the regular console value? For example if you have "console=ttyS0" then you would use "androidboot.console=ttyS0".

Best regards,
Andrew
