I believe the setup wizard you see on the G1 is owned by Google and not in the open source project.  You may have to write your own.  (As setup wizard does more than just log into your google account, it would be nice to have the non-Google parts in the open source tree, but I don't know when that would happen.)

You need to mark the device as provisioned, like here:

what you say is very true i replaced the setup wizard to mine and
