Hello

I am trying to ged rid of ExtractTextView area from my input method
while in fullscreen mode. When I return null from
onCreateExtractTextView() method there still stays white area above my
keyboard. Is there any way to remove it, or at least make it
transparent?
I assumed that this white box is some layout parent to
ExtractTextView, but getParent returns null.

android:imeOptions="flagNoExtractUi" doesn't appear to work

Any ideas?

best regards

If you have let it run you in full screen mode, your IME will fill the entire screen...  because it is full screen...  if you don't resize your UI to fill the screen, you will have an empty area.

I am a little confused because then you are also talking about turning off full-screen from the application with android:flagNoExtractUi.  This a separate thing from simply not having an extract view.  There were some issues with it in earlier versions of the platform, but it should work on 2.1 (and possibly 1.6).
