When will the CDD for ICS be available? I am specifically interested
in RAM and NVM storage requirements.

I know someone asked this before also, I'm interested in the answer to this as well.

I'm too interested as I want to see if my phone is capable of ICS or
not.

I just checked a few minutes ago and see that updated CTS and CDD are
posted at http://source.android.com/compatibility/

Thank you. The document states 340MB of kernel visible memory as a
new requirement, up from 128MB for gingerbread. What drives this new
increased requirement? What does this do to all the 3Gbit RAM (384MB
total ram, approximately 280-290 kernel visible memory) devices path
to updates? Since the requirement states MUST, would releases of ICS
for such devices be unacceptable.

The reasons: ASLR + graphics acceleration. In our experience, with
less RAM than that, things go bad very quickly, causing apps to not be
able to run properly. Cutting an extra 50 to 60MB below the minimum is
very unlikely to work.

JBQ, can you quantify the impact of ASLR, we have already seen the
effect on graphics acceleration on PVR devices (8MB per Dianne's
post). How does ASLR affect application RAM usage and by how much?

I don't have any hard numbers, but I expect that the worst-case impact
is an order of magnitude smaller than that of graphics acceleration.
