In the past three months, I have purchased Samsung Galaxy Note tablets (8" and 10.1") and returned each for the same issues. I have my internet server set to retain emails for three days. In the factory-installed Android email program, after I've downloaded, read, and trashed emails, they continue to be downloaded for the three days; same emails as trashed.
Also, I use a tablet to forward emails, but only after cleaning up past forwarder's/recipients names and email addresses. You can't clean up the info from the last person sending you the email. That is, when you select an email to forward, the name of the person sending you the email and all their addressees cannot be deleted. So, when I forward the email, all this info reappears in my email. I have spoken to Samsung about this issue several times, they have verified the problem but can't correct it.
My questions are: do you know of any solution to these problems (don't want to reset the server hold time)? And if not, is there an email program I can install on a Samsung Android tablet which doesn't require me to change my email address? If you are familiar with these problems, does Android 4.5 correct them?
