Test Pings work, but after first SMS, nothing else?

I noticed various posts about others having the same problem.  First time a SMS came in, it popped-up just fine.  Any thereafter, no notification.

But if I send a "Test Ping" they show-up fine.

This is BT from Droid RAZR to Win7 64bit (but running the 32bit desktop app, because I typically only have 32bit Java installed).

I don't see anything strange in the logs, so I'm thinking the phone-side is not sending when necessary (not the receiving side).

Anyone have any ideas?
