Would there be version of ndk.thirdparty:openssl built with NDK28 for 16KB pages support?

Seems that simply rebuilding those ndkports packages with NDK 28 will improve 16KB pages support for many applications across the ecosystem. Is such refresh planned, or should we switch to building OpenSSL by ourselves?

My response to another question about ndkports from about a week ago touches on this somewhat: https://groups.google.com/g/android-ndk/c/2opCa-pso6E/m/F2EcyuybEAAJ

For openssl specifically, I really hope you're not using a version that's marked "beta" in a production app.

From https://android-developers.googleblog.com/2025/05/prepare-play-apps-for-devices-with-16kb-page-size.html
Starting November 1st, 2025, all new apps and updates to existing apps submitted to Google Play and targeting Android 15+ devices must support 16 KB page sizes.
So, that requirement would be essentially the kill switch for ndkports project

All of the packages are in beta. I cannot recommend using them in a production app. If we ever have the bandwidth to improve things here, trust me, I'd love to do that. As is, we're spread far too thinly to work on this.

if they're broken enough that they'll prevent you from uploading, and
we can't get them rebuilt, we should probably delete them rather than
lead people astray?
