You have opportunity to work with a private well-funded company based
in San Francisco that specializes in integrating new and emerging
technologies to create “disruptive” product lines in Consumer,
Industrial and Defense markets. We offer complete product development
and management services through Design, Engineering, thorough product
costing and Manufacturing Sourcing-worldwide. Our focus is generating
innovative ideas that contain significant protectable intellectual
property in order to give our client companies the features and IP-
protectable edge needed to succeed in highly competitive markets. We
are working on several large-scale Android-based projects that touch
the entire stack of Android (platform to application) and have an
immediate need for a Sr. Software Architect and Engineer.

Sr. Android Platform (Architect) Software Engineer (Mobile)

Job description
This position will be responsible for defining architectures for the
Android based mobile devices. You will be the subject matter expert
for Android platform and will interface with engineering and marketing
teams to address a broad range of topics including application
platform security, branded services and extensions, additional run-
time environments, OS platform certification. You will work with
internal and external teams to evaluate new SW technologies and
determine deployment strategies for integrating technologies in
handset devices. This individual will work with counterparts in the
organization to plan, organize and develop and manage system
requirements.

Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or related field
5+ years experience in embedded SW development for portable devices.
Architecture and development experience with Android devices required.
Project Management experience desired.
Mobile/Smartphone experience, preferably in embedded SW for portable
devices, notebooks, development experience on multiple layers on
mobile phone technology

Knowledge on embedded layers, C/C++, Java, Android stack, documenting
requirements, architecture impact.
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree

Required Knowledge/Skills
1+ years Android programming experience, deep knowledge and
understanding about Android SDK
3+ years of Java coding experiences, J2ME is a plus
Innovative thinker
Having an application wrote by yourself which is available to download
in the Android application store is a plus
