MIDI file playback with Custom Soundfonts (.sf2)

Hi Phil,

Is there any way to playback a midi file with custom soundfonts in Android? The more control I have on the playback, the better. So, if you could recommend the lowest level of programmatic interface that will help achieve this (say opensl es) would be great.

Check out this nice SF2 synth from Florian Bomer. It might work for you.
