Android kernel 2.6.32

Hi,

I'm upgrading the android kernel for my board mini2440 instead of 2.6.27 to Linux kernel 2.6.32 ,and I have been searching for a while for this,so I'm asking how can i gonna start .

As an overview of steps:

1. download a suitable kernel from kernel.org (based on your requirements)

2. Add ur machine specific changes --- may the mach-arm folders

3. Add android specific drivers and module ....

The best way for u will be as you have the working 27 kernel, you can check the kernel revision number 2.6.27.rxx something (Check Top makefile of kernel) and get the vanilla kernel of same revision from kernel.org/pub and take a patch. And apply the patch manually or by patch -i p1 ... (with little care) to 2.6.32.rxx ... hope u can play with it now... 

Secondly if you have a kernel (which ur vendor has give, before applying android) then you can follow as below:

1. take patch aganist open source vanilla kernel and take a patch aganist  vendor specific kernel. This patch will be machine specific.

2. Take a patch aganist open source kernel and android kernel corresponding version... apply this patch after applying the   first patch....
