G is 2.6.35.x
Given 2.6.36 heavy activity on Tegra2 kernel, i assume H is going to
be 2.6.36.x - only android team can confirm !!

is common.git the right repo for the baseline kernel code? the
wikipedia page above mentioned that gingerbread is using 2.6.35.7
however common.git only has 2.6.35 and 2.6.36 head, no tag for the
2.3.1 android release, anyone can confirm?

i assume you mean the 2.6.35 head of common.git, as so far I found no
other way to download 2.6.35 for gingerbread.

If it is just 2.6.35 you want, goto the location of the android kernel
and use "git checkout remotes/origin/android-2.6.35"
