a1200 init can not open dev/smd0

When I run ./init in the a1200, the last and repeated message is:

It seems that the os can not open /dev/smd0 and keep trying. There is
no /dev/smd0 node below the /dev at first, but I have added /dev/smd0
node, there is no help.

Could somebody help me?
