I think that would be useful. My use case is as follows. I have a java library that I created and I need it for an android app that I am building. The library is not specific to the android app. I also use it on a jsp based web site. But from time to time I find the need to change the library, so it would be useful to be able to edit/compile/run the library as a console app while building the android app.
