hey, there

today I got some odd errors with my AIDE. While working at my project created with AIDE, at some point, the IDE did not refresh the Build anymore. He showed, that he compiled, but the result doesn't showed any differences.

After a while and one Refresh Build, the error "unknown entity "R"" displayed. Now the IDE doesn't compiles eather. How to fix this problem?

Try: Manually delete gen dir(s) and "Refresh Code Analysis" and "Refresh Build"

Well...

I tried to delete gen -> no changes
I tried to delete the project and copy the codes into a new project -> no changes
I tried to reinstall AIDE -> no changes.
I tried to delete the datas of AIDE -> no changes.

That was the moment, when i just got angry and tried to delete everything x)

Well, the result is some work of coding getting lost, created a new Project, copied the parts of the code, which doesn't made errors and copying the code from file to file. Well... quick and dirty method I think, but it worked.

Had same problem today and found out, there was a Dropbox
synchronization conflict of my main.xml file, which results in a renamed
copy of the same file. Removing this one made successful recompilation
possible again. So, try to find errors in xml files in your project,
which are not directly shown by AIDE or find duplicate files due to
synchronization with online repository.

Got the same problem after a pull from a git-repository, went to the gen directory (following the advice from this thread) and found the R.java file - in the moment I touched it to open it, the errors were gone - obiously some problems with update of that file.

Not going to say that this will solve the problem for everybody having this problem, but it shouldn't hurt trying.
