Hello,

I am a new user to AIDE. I'm using version 3.1.3 on a rooted tablet. I have gone through quite a few of the built in tutorials.

I am unable to use the debugger. I have an active subscription.

I set the breakpoints, I get message switching to AIDE debug build. So far so good.

As you can see in the screen shot, it says debugger not running:

And when I run the app, the IDE does not break at the breakpoints.

How do I activate the debugger, set breakpoints and inspect variables?

Thanks,

Michel

Hello Michel,

the debugger is automatically activated and should just work .... :(
Make sure that your build variant when you start a new project is set to debugging mode. The only way to turn off the debugger is to change the settings to "release".
(Menu: Project -> Build variant -> debugging)
As I can see in your screenshot setting breakpoints seem to work fine. To add breakpoints you just click on the start of a line until a dot appears.

If your problems persist please send a bug report to sup...@appfour.com and we will investigate.

Thank you,

Trixi
