You have to register again with a device and then send a message with the old registration ID. Follow these steps:1) Get a registration from device A. Let's call this reg1.2) Send reg1 to your server or retrieve it somehow from the device.3) Unregister from device A (otherwise, you might get the same registration ID).4) Register again from device A. You should get a new registration reg2. If you get the same registration as before, do steps 3 and 4 again.
5) Try sending a message using registration reg1. You should get a response with reg2 as the canonical registration ID.

Hello,
I would like to test the correct behavior of my application server when the message returns a result with a canonical registration ID.
What is the procedure to follow in order to obtain a canonical registration ID? Under which conditions we receive a canonical registration ID?
Thank you
Johan
