I did more test on Android emulator with GPU emulation, but I found that it is very buggy and basically not very useful. Most of problems are related to EGL emulation. You can find the same complaints just do some google search. Here are some examples:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/28966496/android-studio-emulator-eglsurfaceattrib-not-implemented
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/32750816/failed-to-set-egl-swap-behavior-on-surface-0xb14ae7a0-error-egl-success
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/33350090/android-studio-error-eglsurfaceattrib-not-implemented-failed-to-set-egl-swap-be

Other emulators, such as genymotion or Andy, they did a much better job than AOSP implementation. Are we going to fix all these issues to make it usable?

Curiously, none cared about filing a bug about it on the official bug tracker (http://b.android.com).

I think it's the first time I've seen this mentioned, so I've investigated the issue and created https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=205963

Thanks

It seems there is a minimal fix for this. How can I get the latest patch? In the master branch of device/generic/goldfish, the latest commit is 7 weeks ago.
