After follow the steps from HTC official side to update my ADP 1 to
Android 1.6, I'm able to boot the system and use the phone. However,
when I reboot the phone into recovery mode again, I saw a error
message "E:Can't open /cache/recovery/commmad" at the bottom of the
screen. My first line of text display: Android system recovery <2e>.

1. Is this update successful?
2. My phone will reboot itself occasionally when I recharge it,
suspect it happened right after the battery was fully charged. I this
cause by Android 1.6?

However, apart from the problem describe above,

Mine is the same. I have had a few times where he device kept rebooting. i read the mails and think some how it is connected to the software and battery. After letting the battery drain. Switching off the phone and charging. It now seems ok. One other change was to switch off email as i use gmail. This stopped my battery draining.
I would like to see a update to the software soon
