MakerSquare is starting a 12 week full-time course that teaches Android Development to help passionate motivated beginners jump into the industry. If you're interested, you can get involved in many ways:
  1. Instructor - If you're excited to teach and help young developers meet their maximum potential, we have a full-time paid instructor position. You'll also have time to develop of course! - Check out the attached job listing
  2. Mentorship - Mentor a student and advise them as they grow through the program.
  3. Guest speakers/workshops - Come in for an evening and talk about a cool personal project or something exciting you recently learned.
  4. Looking for development talent - If you're looking to hire Android developers, I'd like to talk about how we can shape our curriculum to meet your needs (we don't charge recruiting fees!)
  5. Other - If you have any other ideas or just want to chat with me, feel free to reach out to me!
If you're interested in any of this shoot me an email at she...@themakersquare.com. Our goal is to help grow the Austin tech scene by creating more development talent in Austin. We've already seen success in our Web Development course, and are excited to do the same for Android. Reach out to me if you'd like to get involved in any way.
