Thank you for the feature requests, this is as good a place as any for
them :) The other place is by creating an 'issue' on the project site.
The issues can be changed to be a feature request, however
paradoxically it seems that only someone who has permission on the
project site (e.g. me) can change this setting. I'm happy to accept
requests in either location. On the site does make them slightly
easier to track (rather than wading through forum messages) so I will
move these and future requests there...
I'll see if a variable speed capability is practical. The program
relies on the inbuilt audioplayer for Android and I haven't noticed a
way to vary the speed so it may be a challenge to implement at the

I'll also investigate improving the user-interface. This is possible
i.e. I'm sure the Android platform supports this, it's more a case of
me (or other programmers and UI designers if they're willing to
