Job Description

·         Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers.

·         Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software. Oversees testing and develops fixes.

·         May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 3 - 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

·         Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

·         Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.

·         Typically reports to a project leader or manager.

 

Skills:

·         Javascript

·         Middleware development

·         Agile software practices

·         NodeJS a huge plus

 

 

Job Responsibilities

•                     Develop specific adapters that allow 3^rd party devices to integrate seamlessly into our existing XFINITY Home product

•                     Discuss, debate and develop the best solution to integrate cool new IoT devices

•                     Work closely with QA to create automated application level test suites

•                     Apply industry best-practice software standards and technology to complex business problems.

•                     Collaborate with other teams in and outside Client to create and develop scalable solutions that integrate well with the existing complex ecosystem.

•                     Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices to internal and external audiences.

•                     Potential for travel to maintain good collaboration with teams at the Client headquarters in Philadelphia.

 

Job Requirement

•                     2-5+ years’ experience or equivalent programming in Javascript

•                     1 year of Javascript framework experience (Node, Angular, Backbone, etc)

•                     Start-up environment experience

•                     Expert understanding of modern, scalable, high availability solutions

•                     Prior experience using API’s for 3^rd-party developers

•                     Internet of Things (Iot) interest or experience, a plus

•                     B.Sc. in computer science or related field. M.Sc. preferred
