Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Broadband and wireless communications
company Motorola Inc (NYSE: MOT) on Friday launched advanced Android
development resources through MOTODEV.
These advanced Android resources include a new App Accelerator Programme and MOTODEV Studio for Android Beta.
Motorola
said that MOTODEV will offer developers early access to a new suite of
Google Android developer tools and programmes, along with the
opportunity to attend the next MOTODEV Summit in San Diego, California
on 6 October 2009, for advanced training and information-gathering.
Christy

Android and open software has the freedom and flexibility to foster
innovation, accelerate time to market, and deliver the most personal
and customised mobile experiences for consumers."Motorola is inviting
developers to join MOTODEV's App Accelerator Programme, under which
select developers will have the ability to submit their applications to
Motorola and leverage the opportunity to distribute through a variety
of channels, including carrier stores, the Android Market and
third-party distributors.
Motorola will also make publicly
available the MOTODEV Studio for Android Beta, which is a powerful,
Eclipse- based integrated development environment that works with
Google's software development kit.
MOTODEV
Studio and the MOTODEV programme reportedly make it easy for developers
to create a new generation of rich user experiences for Motorola's
