MTN Nigeria has expanded the coverage of its Wimax internet service, MTN HyNet, to the cities of Abuja and Port Harcourt. The service was first introduced in Lagos in 2009 by MTN Business and was subsequently extended to other cities such as Warri, Ilorin, Osogbo, Kaduna, Sokoto, Makurdi and Bauchi in 2010. MTN HyNet is a prepaid high-speed internet service offered with a Wi-Fi router supporting multiple users. Subscribers can choose from a variety of flexible payment plans and download speeds.
