BSNL and WishTel to launch new Android tablet called IRA Icon
BSNL has now tied-up with WishTel to launch yet another Android based tablet with video calling feature in the Indian market. This tablet is known as the IRA Icon and it is a device which comes with a built-in BSNL 3G connection. Hence the tablet will not have a SIM card slot and will be bound only to the BSNL network.
The IRA Icon is a 7-inch tablet device which runs Android 4.0 ICS and
it is powered by a 1.2GHz single-core processor along with 1GB of RAM.
Additionally, the device includes a 2 megapixel rear camera and a
secondary front facing VGA quality camera. It is also equipped with a
mini USB port, mini HDMI port, microSD card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The
device has 4GB of built-in storage and further features basic
connectivity options like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. IRA Icon includes a 4,000
mAh battery which the company claims will last for up to 4-5 hours with
standard usage. Users also get 2GB of free 3G data for the first two
months after purchasing the tablet. It is officially priced at Rs.
10,500.
