So for the last 3 months Muthu posts every 30 seconds -then all of a
sudden he wins and disappears.

Are you alive Muthu? Or did another Top 50 entrant take you out of
the picture for phase 2?

My bet is that he is sleeping! It's 3:30 AM there...

Sure, maybe he is sleeping now, but I doubt he was when the
announcement went out.

Maybe he is being humble?

is this his app? http://mobeegal.in/
Unless I am mistaken, it sounds to me like the Yellow Pages mobile
search we have. Or is it something else?

Hi there! I am Muthu's Challenge partner.

Hehe, where is Muthu indeed? It does seem quiet without him power
posting once a minute, huh?

He is passed out from Bloody Marys or champagne (or just asleep since,
as Zach points out it is the middle of the night now in India).
It isn't Mobeegal. That is another Android app his company is
developing. (btw- I did the logo/site graphics- do you like it?)
Our entry is a simple, useful consumer utility I dreamed up for a
company I've started.
I did the user experience/user interface design, and he put a killer
Android motor in it.
It was a great collaborative effort. I am in San Francisco, so we
worked remotely the whole time.
We'll probably remain a little quiet about it for a few days while
everything digests. If I change my mind
maybe I'll post something this weekend before it is announced.

And worry not- if I know Muthu, he'll surely be back in action writing
crazy melodramatic tales in no time.

Best wishes to all who won and didn't. I know a lot of apps that
looked great didn't win. (Duo is a prime example)

I do want to encourage those who didn't land in the 50 to keep
working.
That was my plan if we didn't win.
It is an exciting new platform and I believe it is poised to massively
change the industry.
We are an elite group- all 1788 teams and we have in common that we
are the first to develop applications
for Google Android and will have much more freedom in the distribution
process than previously known.

Hope to meet some of you at I/O.
I will be easy to spot. I will be the female.
If that isn't enough (and it may be), I will be the female with a
glazed-over look, stifling yawns when y'all get deep in to code talk.
I am excited to hear and talk about the future of Android though, to
try to decipher at least some of the back-end talk, and meet other
members of the community.

Cheers,
Mary Ann

Hey, Thanks for the concern. I'm here being humble that's all.

And my partner Mary Ann has taken over my role, so I'm being quite now :-)

Good luck to all the 1738 participants who had missed out. I personally know a few who had some great applications but did not make it. Hope you folks keep going no matter what.

I'll be back in action soon with some Phase 2 ramblings!

Hey Muthu,

Will we be seeing you at Google I/O. I assume you'll be the one
twittering away on his laptop.

Mary Ann (according to her profile avatar) would be the tan one next
to you with long black hair and bright red lips (dozing off from all
the geek speak as she says).

Congratulations Mary Ann. I don’t have idea what is your winner app.
but you write on this group very well (and beautiful)

Muthu, did you win the challenge?
Only for the write effort and help on this group, you win a big place
for me.

Maybe I will travel to Google I/O event; I will take the decision next
week, (looking for VC first).

Regards

Javier,
Thank you! Yes, we have been quiet about our winning app entry..
I think everyone thinks it is Mobeegal ;-)
Very soon we will post about our winner on the winnermeter ;-)
We are proud of it and it's simplicity.
It is a different category than any we've seen.
I wish you luck with finding funding and hope to see you at Google I/
O.
Best,
Mary Ann

Anthony!

Yay! Pocket Journey! I love that one.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
Yay! Pocket Journey! I love that one.

Not too tan at the moment. Rather pasty from too much work and too
little play ;-)
Looking considerably more haggard than my illustrated alter-ego I'm
afraid ;-) And you are close-- I do have long hair, but it is brown,
not black. I will be sure to wear my red lipstick so you all can
identify me from the other masses of women who are bound to be there.
I joke. I hope there will be some women represented though. Besides
pasty old red lipped me. lol. Oh, yes, the dozing. That will be a dead
giveaway. zzzzzzzz....please wake me up when they get off code and
start talking about Android as a platform, cool Android app demos, the
future of mobile, the O.H.A. or distribution. :-)

I am really looking forward to meeting members of this cool community
in person.

Cheers,
Mary Ann
