Behold, the Android Central App Beta track!

Welcome aboard, folks. We've left this group publicly visible so everyone can get a glimpse of what we're working on. And anyone can join the beta track. But there are a few things to know about how this works. We'll walk you though it.

You're either on the beta track, or you're on the production track. It's one or the other, and if you can always switch back. But you can't be on both at one time.
This is a beta track. Bugs happen. Please report them in this group, but remember that BUGS HAPPEN.
Don't be afraid to speak out. We love feedback. And while we might not respond to every post, we definitely read them.

So ... here's how to become a beta tester.

First things first: You must be a member of this group. Make a note of the Google account you're signed into when you join the group. You'll need it in the next step. (We recommend using the same Google account you use for Google Play.)
Now it's time to actually become a beta tester. Click this link. Then click the "Become a Tester" button. Congrats. You're now on the beta track. After that, you'll need to download the app again from Google Play.

IF YOU GET A 404 ERROR: Remember how we told you to check which account you joined this group with? You need to be logged into that same account before you click this link to join the beta track. You'll also need to make sure you actually joined this group.

Again: Two things you must do before you can get the beta version — Join this group, then join the beta track by clicking this link.

One final thing to do: Go to Google Play and download the app. Again, make sure you're using the same Google account you've used through all this so far. From now on, you'll get the beta versions of the app.

To exit the beta and return to the production track: Click this link, and then click "Leave the test."
