HTTP code 407 from proxy after CONNECT

I have already imported the proxy and provided the proxy settings in the /etc/apt/apt.config , but I am gettign this error as soon i try to run the command


curl https://dl-ssl.google.com/dl/googlesource/git-repo/repo > ~/bin/repo

This is the result I get :

ANy Idea on this !

407 is "Proxy Authentication Required", which means your proxy is requesting authentication details.

You should talk to the operator of your proxy to see what can be done.
