Unable to initialize repository with repo init

I'am trying to download Android source code with below command:

How long have you been waiting before terminating the init?

Why are you doing this as root?

Why are you using --no-clone-bundle as "repo init" flag?

Where did you find these instructions?

I've just tried again from office on a vanilla CentOS 7.6.

There is only a small warning 

I can see 2 differences:

- OS Fedora 30 versus CentOS 7.6 (with latest patches)

- Corporate network versus ISP provider network.

We have been waiting up to 30 minutes at least. No way. It is stucked.

Looks very unexpected as I've used Git for 10 years.

I'am doing this as root because I'am used to work with root account on my laptop.

Someone suggested to try with a non root account. Will try.

I've used the --no-clone-bundle because it writes a warning message which is harmless as per my google searches.

I've used the instruction located at the URL https://source.android.com/setup/build/downloading

And also some searches from Google to try get a workaround.

I'am using Fedora 30 with latest Git client.

I'am very surprised to face such issue.

Few people seem to have a similar issue.
