Android 16 build / soong / empty compilation database

Hello

as part of our Android build setup, we generate a compilation database that is used afterward by a static analysis tool.

We follow this guideline to enable compdb generation using soong:  https://android.googlesource.com/platform/build/soong/+/refs/heads/main/docs/compdb.md

For Android 12 / 13 / 14 / 15, this is working fine and file is properly generated.

For Android 16, file is generated but is empty.

Could it be a regression for this specific usage? I was not able to find any relevant info / bug in https://android.googlesource.com/platform/build/soong/ resources...

We have also encountered this issue. The modification has been merged into the main branch, but it should not have been merged into the release branch.
