This is the same machine I always build on. I updated to oneiric 11.10 alpha, and now I get this error:

cc1plus: all warnings being treated as errors

I do not get this using the same downloaded source on my other machine that is running natty 11.04

If I remember correctly, this is really a warning that later issues
that would normally be warnings by default will actually cause the
compilation to abort.

If my understanding is correct, if you're seeing this and the build
fails, chances are that there's an error just a tiny bit further in
the build log that's the actual issue.

This is output by gcc (or g++) when you use the compiler switch -Werror, meaning exactly what it says, that all warnings will be treated as errors, thus the compile will abort if any compile warning is produced.

This notice in itself does nothing, and is not an error or even a warning.
