Did you lunch full-eng or full_x86-eng targets?

Hello,

I've built the asop following these steps http://source.android.com/source/building.html

All appeared to build successfully and I'm at the "Run It!" step but when I type "emulator" I get the error ...

emulator: ERROR: You did not specify a virtual device name, and the system
directory could not be found.
If you are an Android SDK user, please use '@<name>' or '-avd <name>'
to start a given virtual device (see -help-avd for details).
Otherwise, follow the instructions in -help-disk-images to start the emulator
My questions:

Is the build process supposed to build an emulator image for me (if so where should that image be located)?

Should I create my own "avd" image using the avd manager and flash my built-image onto that?

Thanks for any pointers here.

Hi i typed emulator at the prompt and it worked. You must not have exited the terminal session. If you have then type
# . build/envsetup.sh
# lunch full-eng
# emulator
The environment vars must be setup.
