Just wanted to inquire as to the status of this important & very
anticipated project (to the community & the platform as a whole), as
I've seen no updates in a while. I joined group to stay up to date &
though I can't sling code, I am willing to assist in beta testing etc.
Thanks all :)

I believe that that project is kind of at a stand still at the moment.
To be honest, I think we are all waiting patiently for the fabled tutorials that Michael was going to be working on.

Yes, Mike should be launching his tutorial site soon which will detail a lot of the work that needs to be done.  This project has been inactive, but it is not going away.

Greets everyone...

The tutorial site has been launched. There were some delays beyond my
control, but I do believe things are on track now and my full time
efforts over the next 2-3 months is solely on tutorial content. No
tutorial content is posted yet, but expect regular updates from here
on out. I'm glad things are rolling now. Check out the site. I did a
bit of custom work on the site to integrate some community features
and make it easy to log in and create an account. You can use your
Google account credentials to log in and many other well known
providers.

Here it is:
http://www.android-tactelus.com/

Check it out and log in and subscribe to RSS and/or Twitter feeds.

I look forward to getting into the good stuff (OpenGL ES & Quake
sections) soon, but it might be a week or so until I get there. Just
follow by RSS for updates.
