Android Pro Widget (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rdr.widgets.core&hl=en) makes use of one AppWidget class to allow compatibility with
older Android without appidget-extensions to provide click based scrolling,
older Androids with Custom Launchers to provide Gesture based scrolling,
and with Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich to provide Gesture based scrolling without the need of custom launchers...

How can this be done...
