Instructions on creating a scrollable app widget?

I can't find any definitive instructions. I found an example on
google code but I'm not sure if it's outdated (http://code.google.com/
p/scrollable-widget-for-hpp/). Is that example specific to hpp?

Do I need to import hpp.jar into my project? It doesn't make sense to
me why I would need to import this.

if you want to use API Version 2 you can see my scrollable contact
widget as sample and also this wiki page:

But this newer Version wouldn't work with Launcher Pro but with the
most other launchers...
